We stand here, Rooted to the earth, A silent witness to your hurried steps.
Each dawn, expanding our leaves, Catching sunlight, Transforming it into whispers of life.
Breathing out the air you cherish, A gift, With only a slight glance our way to thank us.
Seasons pass, As some bear time’s eclipse, Others immune, young and hopeful.
Some of us evergreen, Some changing with the seasons, Yearning for the gaze of spring’s sun, To shed light onto what’s been here all along, A mosaic of unforgotten green.
This place we share, Arid, radiating warmth, Then biting the skin, Raw, Open.
In spring, we’re awakened by light, Our drapes of green unmasked, An invitation to let you and the sun linger, Your eyes now notice our buds and blossoms unfurl, And we begin to see you more each day.
Summer brings warmth, It also brings you near, Seeking refuge from the sun’s embrace, We welcome you under our gentle arms, To pause, Listening to the rustle of our familiar song, A reminder of our presence.
Then Autumn beckons, When the visitors among us come alight in a blaze of crimson gold, Leaves fall, Bringing you to notice the change, As you walk atop a time now passed, A farewell to the warmth of summer.
When winter succeeds, And with it, stillness, You retreat to the warmth of your home, And still we stand, Our branches stretched out, Waiting again for your embrace.
When you pause beneath our shade, Or gaze upon our flowers, Your heart slows, The chaos of your day fades away, And in this moment of stillness, You breathe deeper, Slower, Noticing more with each breath.
With each moment spent near, Your stress loosens, And you bloom, You unfold, And you are left lighter.
So come find us in your daily wanderings, Let our roots ground you, Our leaves rest you, Pause and notice the life that blossoms, And in this shared space, Together, Let’s weave a tapestry of connection.
